As a mixed media painter, Kate combines painting with drawing, collage and other materials. With a diverse subject matter, her work often reflects personal journeys.
Kate completed her BFA in fine arts with an emphasis in painting in the summer of 2005 at Ball State University (Muncie, IN).
In the fall of 2006, Kate was awarded a year-long residency from the Stutz Artists Association. At the conclusion of her residency, she chose to stay, now sharing a studio with two other artists.
Also in 2006, Kate was selected as the Curator for Lilly Oncology on Canvas, managing an international art collection touring the U.S. and abroad.
Kate is one of two inaugeral recipients of the Robert J. Beckmann Emerging Artist Fellowship (2007), awarded by the Arts Council of Indianapolis. She is a member of the Broad Ripple Art Fair Artists Committee and serves as the Manager of Educational Services for the newly established StutzArtSpace, a visual art center sponsored by the Stutz Artists Association.
She exhibits her work regularly in solo and group shows throughout central Indiana.
